Announcements & Important Dates:

November 8, 2008

  • Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams on sweeping the district meet. 

  • The Wildcats were crowned district 15-5A champions in the Freshman, JV, and Varsity divisions for both the Boys and Girls.

  •  For the Varsity Girls Division, Melissa Mahoney was crowned the 15-5A District Individual Champion.  This marks the first ever Cross Country Individual Champion for the Lady Wildcats.  Also finishing in the top 10 and earning All-District honors were Kylie Fitzgerald (4th Place) and Kelly Trevino (7th Place).

  •  Top ten finishers for the JV Girls were Alex Berrones (2nd Place), Abby Oliver (7th Place), and Destiny Duncan (10th Place) 

  • Silva, Amber Stieb, and Haley Quinlan will represent Cy Woods and District 15-5A Saturday as they will compete in the Region 2 Championships in Arlington.

  • Scoring for the Freshman boys was Ryan Philpot, Cody Meineke, William Bowes, Cade Deines and Kevin Leba.

  • The JV champions was the team of Kyle Ray, who finished 1st place followed closely by Steven Gonzales, Chris Toups, Andrew Cole, Matt Krezinski and Jordan Ferguson.

  • The Varsity Boys advancing to regionals and setting a new school record for the best overall team time was Craig Nowak, Colin Stoeber, Andres Escobar, Sherman Dumars, Trevor Deines, Josh Szot and Justin Stanaland.  And congratulations to Freshman Craig Nowak and Colin Stoeber on being selected to District 15 -1st team All-District.

  • Good Luck to those that will be competing in Arlington Saturday and Congratulations to the entire Cross Country program.
